Almost everything available on internet these days can be shared online be it articles, books, software applications or MP3 song provider. When it comes to sharing files on the internet you require file-sharing software for the successful and fast sharing of your files, videos and MP3 sharing. LimeWire is a peer-to-peer file-sharing client for the Java Platform, which uses the Gnutella network to locate and share files. It enables users to share, search, and download MP3 music files. LimeWire Pro is the updated version of the LimeWire and offers added features.

Built on Java programming language, LimeWire Pro runs on any computer that supports Java Virtual Machine. This file sharing platform works on all types of systems that include Microsoft windows, Apple Mac and Linux operating systems. Support for Mac OS 9 and other previous version was dropped with the release of LimeWire 4.0.10. It offers sharing of its library through Digital Audio Access Protocol (DAAP). As such, when LimeWire is running, any files shared will be detectable on the local network by DAAP enabled devices.
